Marathi Mantra...

The only big and breaking news that rocked the news channels yesterday was that of Abu Azmi being slapped by MNS leaders during the oath ceremony going on in the House... Reason being that, Azmi was taking the oath in Hindi, when all other leaders had taken the oath in Marathi... MNS chief Raj Thackeray had previously appealed to all legislators to take the oath of office in Marathi.The majority did, but not everyone obliged. The ones who took the oath in hindi included Congress's Rameshsingh Thakur and Amin Patel, as well as Baba Siddique..., who were spared by the MNS leaders...
This so called partiality, was not acceptable to leaders of the other parties, and they demanded strict action to be taken against the accused...
Finally, the ceremony ended, and as usual, all the leaders returned to their respective homes for a good night's sleep.
So, all this drama makes us think, have we chosen the wrong leaders yet this time again... Is language a bigger issue that the dying farmers or the crying civilians... Were the leaders truly justified in what they had done... We, the mumbaikars, are all waiting for these questions to be answered... but the most important question is... WHO will answer these questions ???
